A Critter!
Riley and Hayden spotted this critter munching on Grandmom's rose bushes. Of course, they were going to pick him up, but he looked a little menacing to me. After a little discussion among the three of us (and me pointing out his wicked looking feet...which you can't really see in this small version...but trust me, they do look wicked!), they decided against making this one a pet. Smart boys, I say!
This one is for you, Shelia...wherever you've gone, girl! (update us on Catie!).

awesome picture, Riley finds some great things for you to photograph. We could do a weekly photo challenge in the eyes of the child or something to that effect.
It seems that Riley and Hayden are somewhat best friends!! I think that is great!! I wish that my kids could be around their cousins! Or any family for that matter!! As for your critter, GOOD CHOICE!! Good pic though!
Yep, I'm glad the boys listened to your council on this one..Really nice pic of the black fuzzy thing though.
When I went back to take another look at your picture I saw two critters nice work..and by the way..I showed your picture to Wayne and he said those black fuzzy things do sting!
So boys beware!
I get these in my flower beds all the time. Thank goddness I have not been stung yet. I tend to find them when I'm pulling weeds! Great picture!!
Too bad they sting they are pretty cute and fuzzy looking. BTW I am wearing a blue shirt and brown capris in the where's waldo pics. In one I am way in the back it is unbelieveable how close yet far away I was. I will have to circle me and repost them later this week...
Great challenge submission, Dana. I'll add it to the "hat" for next week's drawing.
Jamie, the boys have become pretty close lately. There is 19 months difference in their ages, so it has taken it a while to happen. Bailey and Riley were always closer (2 1/2 months difference between them), but now Riley requests to see Hayden just as much as he does Bailey. I'm really glad that he's as close to his cousins as he is because he has no siblings. So, just be thankful that your kids have each other (I know you are!). We hope you are back near family soon!
See, Ms. Judy, I just KNEW that thing looked dangerous! I'll pass the 411 on to the boys! Thanks! Oh, and can you believe I didn't even see that spider until AFTER I opened the pictures on the computer?! LOL. That "wormy" was getting all the attention!
Be careful of the black, stinging worms, Anita! What ARE they?!
Oh Boy, bugs again. We sure do have alot of them dont't we. Be careful kids! I got stung the otherday by some little red flying thing that was on my doorknob. Almost got sick from it, light headed and stuff.
