I Am Blessed!

to have a sweet, generous, loving little boy to call my son. If Riley says "I love you, Mommy" once a day, he says it forty times, and he says it every day. Even when he's mad at me he'll say, "I am very very mad....but I still love you, Mommy." (Don't get me wrong...there are the times that the inevitable "I don't love you" comes out...but those are infrequent and in the heat of the moment.)

Today, while playing at cousin Hayden's house next door, Riley picked me some "flowers". He brought them in to me and said, "Mommy, I picked you some flowers, and they sure do smell purty". I do believe it was the biggest and "purtiest" weed bouquet that he has ever picked for me.

A rose can say "I love you",
Orchids can enthrall,
But a weed bouquet in a chubby fist,
Oh my, that says it all.
-unknown

Thank you, Lord, for this most precious gift.

This gave me goose bumps, or as my kids say, chicken pox. That is the sweetest thing they can do. My kids always pick me flowers in the summer. There is nothing like at the end of the day hearing them say 'I love you, mommy', and feeling those little hands wrap around your neck.

God bless our little babies.

Ahhh Amy...that brings tears to my eyes. I'm hoping Parker comes around soon. I think we've entered the HORRIBLE 3 stage. I hear nothing but NO all the time and only on occasional I love you! Cherish these moments Amy, you have one very sweet boy who will be grown before you know it. :)

Isn't it the best thing? The love of our children we have and the love they have for us?

God knew what he was doing when he gave us children to love.
