First Day of Kindergarten

was a resounding success. He couldn't wait to get there this morning, and we ended up just going 30 minutes early because he was bugging us to just go! No tears. No tugging on my arm or leg...he just went with a quick kiss goodbye. I hope this attitude continues, though I know there will be days that he just doesn't feel like going (I just hope it isn't too soon!). As excited as he was to go to school today, he was NOT excited about having his picture made. I got a couple, but none that I'm really pleased with. Maybe I'll have to try again another day!

Love the look in the second one...he looks like he has a secret. I'm glad he was excited to go to school...Luke is not saying alot on the subject right now. His starts in a couple of weeks.

Way to go, Riley!!!

I am so proud of Riley! He is starting to blossum. I think he will enjoy school.NOTE AMY its actually harder on Mom the first day. It's hard to let go. This a new step in life for ya'll. Just be glad he didn't cry.

I don't remember Jacob or Emily crying and tugging on my leg... Jacob, however, was a little reserved, he wanted me to stick around...still does....Emily on the other hand, could care less!! She has a life, ya know!! My kids hate it when I take their pics right before they go to school!! Yes, I still do it!! LOL! I can't believe that he is in Kindergarten!!

And, I agree with Ms. Cindy! It is much harder on us moms!! I always feel guilty for leaving them.... Go figure!

Ahhh, I remember it well, I tried to see if I could hire someone to come to the house to teach Jeff..so he would not have to go..(Jamie was a little easier I figured Jeff lived)...Thought you'd like this:

He steps alone into a new
Wide world with his parting
For kindergarten half a day!
That's long enough for starting!

A gradual change is best for one
Scheduled for another
Yes, half a day is long enough
While breaking in his mother!!!

Oh yeah, It just about killed me when I had to let him go....And look at him now..Amy the worst may be yet to come!! Pray Pray Pray!!

They grow up so fast I am going to blink and my little one will be doing the same. I have to say the one in front of the lockers is my favorite with that little grin it is too cute.

Congratulations Ri! Good job mom! Its takes a little getting used to the quiet house, I still have problems with it. The first day of school doesn't get any easier. I cried this year because Christina is in her last year before h.s., Shelby started middle, and so on. LOL Of course, I am one of those sappy moms that cries at everything too!

He looks so thrilled to be sitting in that desk or is it that he's thrilled your taking yet another picture. LOL Your sending Riley off to kindergarten and I sent P off to preschool. I'm dreading that day for kindergarten in 2 short years. How are you doing with Riley being gone during the day?

Awesome Amy & Riley! What a milestone and so glad you had your camera on you (like you ever do). Sounds like it was a success and I can't wait to see what he'll be upto this year.
Geez what are you going to do with yourself now???

So, you are having to reset your clock too LOL. I hate it when that happens..the one hour time change kicks my butt..

Glad to hear he is liking school..that helps!
